Courier/Sample Collector

EMSL is seeking a Courier/Sample Collector in Piscataway, NJ. This is a customer service focused position and involves picking up and dropping off samples throughout the tri-state area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives and transports time sensitive samples and updates Chain of Custody documentation according to laboratory protocols
• Packing and storing samples to maintain sample integrity
• Position requires driving for various lengths of time in and around NYC and NJ
• Maintain driving log
• Responsible for company vehicle maintenance and service
• Assist with basic office and laboratory cleaning when needed
• Evening and weekend work may be required as needed
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without restriction or sponsorship
• 1 to 2 years' experience as Courier or professional driver
• Able to drive throughout tri-state area including New York City and other surrounding areas
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfortable using and following GPS navigation
• Able to lift minimum of 40lbs.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external clients

Position is full time, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Piscataway, NJ are encouraged to apply EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, flexible spending account.
