IS Operations and Support Specialist II

Job Summary

Provide advanced Help Desk services to Walman Employees. Analyze and maintain master data for Digital Vision Inc. (DVI) optical manufacturing software, data warehouse and vendors. Provide operational and technical support for integrations, vendor partnerships, marketing programs and facility transitions. Recommend, configure, implement and support DVI advanced functionality.

Salary: $58,500/year+

Primary Responsibilities:

Operations and Advanced Support:

• Evaluate and prioritize support requests and operational tasks to ensure timely completion. (e.g. DVI, Hardware, Software, Connectivity, VoIP)
• Diagnose, resolve or escalate support requests and Ophthalmic Production issues as they occur.
• Evaluate, test and deploy DVI release providing software and operational requirements/feedback to DVI.
• Implement new processes & procedures in coordination with Ophthalmic Operations.
• Document and implement physical inventory processes.
• Monitor, validate and correct transactional data.
• Directly support data and operational activity for specialized external customers.
• Advise and train IS Operations and Support Specialist I and other Walman employees. Design and create training modules for LMS.

Master Data Management:

• Source, verify and maintain lens, frame, accessory, cost, price, vendor, customer, help screen, subcontract and coating master data.
• Implement and maintain vendor data interfaces
• Ensure cross platform master data synchronization.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel, less than 20% of the time as required.

Experience/Qualifications

Two-year college/technical school degree and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience supporting information services in a multi-site environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience commensurate with position requirements.

Additional requisite knowledge and skills:

• Advanced DVI software and internal applications knowledge
• Complex technical problem analysis and resolutions experience
• Advanced Ophthalmic product knowledge
• Working knowledge of computer technology, networks and Microsoft products
• Strong customer service and technical support experience
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record that complies with The Walman Optical Co. Motor Vehicle Policy.
