The ideal candidate pairs strong creative vision with sharp technical execution, balancing hands-on design document production with team mentorship.Principal ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design process, including client programming, space planning, occupancy analysis, and the creation of comprehensive design documents.Client & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate directly with clients to translate their operational needs and brand standards into functional layouts.Team Development & Mentorship: Mentor junior designers, foster a collaborative environment, and actively support the onboarding and training of new Project Designers.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams, external consultants, and project managers to ensure design integrity and seamless delivery.Quality Control & Compliance: Maintain a high level of quality control across all deliverables, ensuring strict compliance with accessibility standards, building codes, and life safety regulations.Project & Deadline Execution: Manage schedules and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects, being able to pivot between projects ensuring milestones are met without sacrificing design quality.Innovation: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current design methodologies, and technology to drive efficiency and innovation.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA or NAAB-accredited institution.Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction industry, with a proven track record of managing commercial or corporate projects independently.Technical Proficiency: Professional-level proficiency in Revit is requiredKnowledge Base: Working understanding of building codes, standard construction principles, and commercial interior design best practices.Professional Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to confidently communicate design concepts to corporate stakeholders.Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
