Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Project Manager in the Chicago metro area to oversee commercial mechanical construction projects and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Impact
- Deliver complex mechanical construction projects that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business
- Coordinate efficient project execution across multiple trades and stakeholders
- Control costs and schedules to maximize project profitability

Responsibilities
- Manage overall project plan for commercial mechanical construction activities
- Coordinate with clients providing regular status updates on timelines and budgets
- Oversee field operations including labor, materials, and equipment coordination
- Maintain all project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Lead project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitor job costs and implement corrective actions to stay within budget
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and building codes
- Resolve issues and manage project risks proactively

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial mechanical or HVAC construction
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management software

Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience with design-build project delivery
- Knowledge of BIM and coordination software
- OSHA 30 certification
