Agricultural Service Technician

Ziegler Ag Equipment has an opening for an experienced Ag Equipment Technician working on the full line of ag equipment from planting to the harvest. We are looking for a dedicated ag mechanic with excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and a sense of urgency at our Willmar branch. Hours: M-F, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 15 days of PTO in the first year, accrual starts day1 9 paid holidays 401(k) plan with company contribution and match HSA – Ziegler contributes up to $1,000 tax-free each year Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Insurance FSA & EAP Paid Parental Leave & Funeral Leave Fitness membership discount Education Assistance Safety Boot Reimbursement, PPE & Uniforms provided Tool Insurance Safe, clean, and friendly work environment Responsibilities Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge Qualifications 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience 3+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience (preferred) Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems Own mechanic tool set Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment Pre‑employment drug test required (safety‑sensitive role) Physical Requirements Push/pull up to 50lbs Lift/carry up to 60lbs Lift bulky objects; Standing, walking, using hands Talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation Stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat Forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box Working Conditions Work may be conducted indoors and/or outdoors.
