Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.True Anomaly is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer II to support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for our spacecraft programs. In this role, you will execute across the full hardware development lifecycle — from requirements capture and schematic design through bring-up, integration, and production — while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. You will bring hands-on technical depth, a strong sense of ownership, and the initiative to contribute meaningfully from day one.Responsibilities:Execute requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test for electrical designsSupport the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft engineering and development effortsCollaborate with system architecture development across cross-functional teamsParticipate in preliminary and critical design reviews to support program requirementsConduct derating analysis and worst-case circuit analysisSupport system-level integration of electrical subsystems, including hardware and software interfacesPerform first article testing, unit-level testing, and production testingContribute to the development and execution of validation and qualification testing campaigns to ensure reliable hardwareDevelop and maintain documentation for electrical systems and components, including design specifications, test plans, and operating proceduresSupport hardware through production, integration, and launchCollaborate with experts from other teams and departments to improve system efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability, and to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and quality assurance processesContribute to continuous improvement of electrical engineering processes and practicesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field2-4 years of professional experience in electrical engineeringProficiency with PCB design in Altium Designer or equivalentSolid understanding of applicable codes and standards including PCB and PCBA designStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldExperience with spacecraft electrical system design and testingFamiliarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and communication subsystemsKnowledge of industry standards and regulations related to spacecraft electrical systemsEmbedded firmware development experienceExperience with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and SimulinkKnowledge of IPC standards and specifications including IPC-610, IPC J-STD-001, and other relevant PCB design and assembly standardsExperience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic settingCompensation:Base Salary: $90,000-$135,000Equity + Benefits: including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental LeaveYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.Additional Requirements:Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearanceWork Location: this role will be onsite at either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA locations, with travel to other sites as needed.Work environment: the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.Physical demands: the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.This position will be open until it is successfully filled.
