Job Description Summary MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center is connecting passionate individuals with fulfilling healthcare careers. Schedule Hours/Shifts: 3 - 12 hour shifts per week. Responsibilities The primary function of this position is to access patient requisitions/labels, collect samples of blood from patients of all ages in a timely manner and keep work flow at a smooth pace. Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Education High School Diploma or GED is required. Licenses / Certifications Phlebotomist certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required before working on the unit.
