Embark on an exciting opportunity as a contract Occupational Therapist serving a diverse student community from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time position spans 37.5 hours weekly, running for six months from August 12, 2026, to approximately February 12, 2027. Set in a vibrant school environment near San Mateo, CA, you’ll play a vital role in fostering student independence and participation within the classroom and beyond.

Your expertise in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy will make a direct impact as you support students with varying needs, helping them achieve academic and developmental milestones. Key qualifications and experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California or eligibility to obtain
• Experience in school-based OT, preferably with PreK–8th grade
• Strong grasp of IEP processes and documentation
• Skilled at communicating effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Collaborative approach and adaptability to diverse learning profiles

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEPs
• Track student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for student support
• Facilitate activities and interventions that promote fine motor, sensory, and practical life skills
• Provide guidance to classroom staff on accommodating student needs
