We are seeking a motivated and experienced outside sales representative to join our team and drive sales growth in the actuator and valve automation market. Job Summary: the outside sales representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, promoting our products, and driving sales of pneumatic actuators and related solutions. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with a strong technical understanding of valve actuators and proven sales experience in the industry. Key responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the valve automation industry, targeting key accounts and industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, pulp & paper, and industrial manufacturing. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and technical support. Promote and sell pneumatic actuators and related automation products, meeting or exceeding sales targets. Conduct on-site client visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations to showcase product benefits and solutions. Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions for client needs. Prepare and deliver accurate sales proposals, quotes, and contracts. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth. Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using a CRM system. Attend industry tradeshows, conferences, and networking events to expand brand presence and generate leads. Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management. Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of outside sales experience in the valve actuator / valve automation industry, with a focus on pneumatic actuators. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment. Strong technical knowledge of valve automation systems, including pneumatic actuators and related components. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed (50-75% travel). Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred but not required. Preferred skills/experience: Established network of contacts within the valve automation industry. Experience selling to industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, pulp & paper, or chemical processing. Competitive base salary plus commission structure.
