Medical Receptionist -Medication Pre-Authorizations Williamsburg Va

Pay From: $19 Per Hour

MUST: 2+years of medical office experience in a private practice specialty office

Strong experience pre-authorizing medications and or biologics

Answer referral calls

Strong customer service skills

Experience checking patients in and collecting insurance information

Verifying experience

Scheduling procedures and appointments

Strong documentation skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

DUTIES: The Medical Receptionist duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Obtain pre-authorizations for prescriptions and or biologics
• Respond to referral calls
• Follow up with insurance companies on denied medications or biologics
• Schedule procedure appointments
• Enter patient information into EMR
• Collect co-pays and outstanding payments
• Provide customer service
• Assist patients as needed
