TRIO Program Coordinator

Student And Academic Support Coordinator

Under supervision of program director, plan, organize, evaluate, coordinate, and manage activities for Student and Academic Support.

Job Duties:

• Develop and coordinate program activities and long-range educational plans for TRIO Student Support Services, including TRIO Connection Days and the TRIO Scholars Mentoring Program.
• Plan, teach, and facilitate Tackling Wicked Problem class and weekly educational sessions.
• Coordinate and lead cultural trips and experiences.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate mentor training; maintain College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA); and track mentor certification requirements.
• Create assessment tools and collect and analyze data to evaluate and improve program effectiveness.
• Provide individualized personal, social, career, and academic counseling, including financial literacy; assistance in completing financial aid applications; assist students in applying for graduate school enrollment.
• Collaborate with and support the PASS Office staff; maintain familiarity with other functions of PASS.
• Attend university orientation sessions, accepted student days, & provide direct liaison with students, educational personnel, & the community regarding department services & support.
• Enter program and participation data to database systems for grant-related collection and reporting.

Requirements:

• Master's degree, preferably in education or human services, and two years' experience in counseling and/or related work in planning, organizing and evaluating educational programs or Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience as indicated
• Experience working with post-secondary students who are low-income, first generation, and/or students with disabilities.
• Experience with program planning, student engagement, and retention
• Must be available for some nights and weekends
• Strong computer skills (MSOffice).
• Administrative ability (data entry, etc).
• Strong human relations and communications skills.
• Experience working with TRIO programs
• Teaching experience in higher education
• Workday experience.
• Excellent writing skills.

Compensation Pay Range:

$47,920.00 - $85,410.00
