STRENGTH & CONDITIONING / SPORTS PERFORMANCE COACH

Bridgewater, NJ | Part-Time | Hourly + Performance Incentives

OVERVIEW

D1 Training Bridgewater is seeking experienced, high-energy coaches to join our performance training team and deliver an

exceptional training experience for our athletes and members.

Our coaches work across multiple training populations, including youth, scholastic athletes, adults, sports-specific training

clients, and personal training clients. This is a hands-on coaching role for someone who is passionate about strength and

conditioning, sports performance, athlete development, and creating an environment where people are challenged,

supported, and excited to train.

The ideal candidate combines training knowledge, strong coaching presence, professionalism, and the ability to connect with

athletes and clients of different ages and ability levels.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Coaching & Athlete Experience

● Deliver high-energy group training and personal training sessions.

● Coach youth, scholastic, adult, and sports-specific training programs.

● Serve as a face of the training experience inside the facility.

● Ensure every session meets D1's 5-star training standard.

● Coach proper movement mechanics, strength, speed, agility, power, conditioning, and overall athletic development.

● Provide individual coaching, corrections, and feedback within group and personal training environments.

● Modify and progress exercises appropriately based on age, ability, goals, and training experience.

● Drive athlete and client results, engagement, and long-term retention.

● Build strong relationships with athletes, adult clients, parents, and fellow team members.

Programming & Product Execution

● Execute D1 programming with precision and consistency.

● Follow D1 coaching methodology, delivery standards, and training principles.

● Maintain class quality, structure, energy, and flow across sessions.

● Create a safe, organized, professional, and motivating training environment.

● Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching team.

● Participate in ongoing coach education, mentorship, and professional development.

Member Experience & Community

● Help build a strong community culture inside the facility.

● Support member engagement, relationship building, and an exceptional overall experience.

● Maintain a premium training environment aligned with D1 brand standards.

● Participate in community workouts, camps, clinics, events, and other D1 programming as needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

● Proven experience in strength and conditioning, group training, sports performance, personal training, or athletic coaching.

● Strong communication skills and confident coaching presence.

● Comfortable leading and engaging groups while also providing individualized coaching.

● Ability to coach and connect with youth athletes, scholastic athletes, and adult fitness clients.

● Professional, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.

● Organized and consistent with strong follow-through.

● Passion for athlete development, client results, and community building.

● Ability to receive feedback and continue developing as a coach.

REQUIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

● Previous coaching, strength and conditioning, sports performance, personal training, or group training experience required.

● Experience coaching athletes and/or adult fitness clients.

● CSCS, CPT, USAW, or equivalent certification preferred.

● CPR/AED certification preferred.

● Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or a related field is a plus.

● Athletic or sports-specific coaching background is a plus.
