Senior Accountant | Insurance Accounting / STAT Reporting Focus | $100K–$120K Base + Bonus + Profit Sharing | Hybrid Schedule

Lincoln, NE | Direct Hire | 2 Days/Week Remote

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Assist with statutory financial reporting and regulatory filings
• Support internal and external audits, including audit schedules and documentation
• Prepare financial and statistical reports for leadership and outside stakeholders
• Research accounting guidance and assist with implementation of new standards
• Recommend and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support special projects

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Related Field
• Experience in one of the following areas strongly preferred:

• Insurance accounting
• Statutory reporting (STAT)
• Public accounting audit experience auditing insurance clients
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • ERP or Workday experience is a plus
