Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, Rochester, NY. This travel assignment starts on 08/17/2026 for a duration measured in weeks on a 4x12 night shift. The unit is a 20-bed medical-surgical/telemetry setting within a hospital. Weekly pay ranges from $1,881 to $1,998, with no guaranteed hours. First-time travel nurses are accepted. Epic charting experience is preferred and may be required for submittal; NY RN license in-hand is required for submission.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiovascular status, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to clinical changes; participate in Rapid Response as needed
- Administer IV therapies, perform phlebotomy, and manage IV line care
- Assist with wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precautions; ensure proper PPE use
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary, Transportation)
- Document care in the charting system (EPIC preferred) and participate in unit orientation and ongoing education

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in-hand for submission
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent med-surg/telemetry RN experience
- EPIC charting experience preferred; may be a hard requirement for submittal per compliance notes
- First-time travel nurses accepted
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not submitted; RTO kept to approximately 1 week or less
- Ability to work in a hospital MS/Tele setting with patient-care responsibilities and required equipment

Education
