Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for medical and surgical patients in Med Surg units, including assessments, ongoing monitoring, medication administration, and documentation.
- Float to designated units as needed (Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit on rare occasions) and adapt to unit protocols and care plans.
- Utilize Meditech EMR for charting, Pyxis for medication dispensing, and manage wound care devices (e.g., wound vac) and chest tubes per bedside needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans, monitor patient safety, respond to changes in condition, and escalate when appropriate.
- Administer treatments and medications per physician orders, uphold infection control standards, and maintain professional nursing practice in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license required and must be active by start of assignment; travelers not currently in possession of a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance and obtain licensure by start.
- BLS required; ACLS required (preferred: PALS, TNCC, ENPC).
- 2-10 years of RN experience in medical-surgical settings.
- Ability to float to Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit on rare occasions; comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements.
