Lead Materials Designer, Color & Graphics - Footwear & Apparel

Job Summary We are seeking a Lead Designer specializing in Color & Graphics for Footwear and Apparel to join a dynamic, fast-paced design team. This role focuses on creating authentic, hyperlocal product narratives that resonate deeply with Streetwear and Lifestyle consumers across key cities in the APLA region, including Tokyo, Seoul, and Mexico City. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, product management, and development teams to deliver industry-leading head-to-toe collections that combine footwear and apparel in innovative ways. Responsibilities Lead color and graphic design for footwear and apparel collections aligned with local market needs and cultural insights. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop compelling product narratives rooted in consumer and trend research. Create unique and highly covetable product expressions through the integration of Color, Graphics, Materials, Trims, and Details. Manage project workflows including sketching, exploration, design presentations, mood boards, CAD, and tech pack creation. Drive storytelling through graphics and materials, ensuring clear communication of design intent internally and externally. Partner with regional experts in insights, marketing, product development, and design teams across color, material, graphic, footwear, and apparel domains. Adapt and respond to a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and timelines effectively. What You Will Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Graphic Design, Color Design, and/or Product Design, specifically within Footwear and Apparel. Proven ability to create head-to-toe design concepts that resonate with Streetwear and Lifestyle markets. Strong cultural and market research skills with a passion for understanding regional consumer insights. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in macOS and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D or AI design tools is a plus but not required. Skilled in drawing, typography, color theory, visual layout, and storytelling via design. Experience developing collections that reflect current trends in contemporary art, design, sport, and streetwear. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience or knowledge of the APLA market, with specific focus on Japan and South Korea, including local culture, trends, and consumer preferences. Strong storytelling through graphics and materials, with the ability to translate inspirations (e.g., themes like "sunset ") into cohesive color stories and product executions. Experience working within fast-moving consumer product teams in a collaborative environment. Additional Notes Candidates localized near the team's headquarters are preferred for immediate availability. Contract length to be adjusted based on the start date. Submission of a portfolio demonstrating relevant footwear, streetwear, lifestyle designs, and storytelling is required.
