Senior Manager, NFL & MLB Apparel Graphic Design What You’ll Work On You will be responsible for the conceptualizing narratives across multiple NFL Uniforms and product spaces through Graphic Visual Centers and Presentations. You will collaborate closely with internal and external Product and Design partners to align on construction, development, insights, and various presentation gates. Typical activities include brainstorming creative strategies and participating in meetings to review uniform designs that meet desired goals. Who You’ll Work With You will work closely with the Design Director, Product Leadership, and External NFL Partners to help Nike create the future of narrative-driven uniform design across the NFL. You will report directly to the NFL Uniforms Design Director and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and key external collaborators across the NFL. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years’ experience of graphic design, preferably in product (footwear/apparel) creation or in an agency. Well-curated portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that demonstrate a strong, effective methodology for research, inspiration, design development, problem solving, process, and final execution. Working directly with a diverse range of consumers/athletes. Contribution to the initiation, development and implementation of in-depth research leading to product storytelling. A positive attitude while working on projects with challenging briefs and through ambiguity to successful completion. Prioritizing workload across short-term and long-range projects with varying levels of complexity. Motivates and mentors designers and other teammates within project settings. Demonstrates self-awareness, with ability to articulate strengths, opportunities, and takeaways. Well informed and stays connected to sport, cultural and graphic design trends. Expert knowledge and ability in product design, including ideation, development, specification, and final execution of designs that balance innovation, performance, and style. High degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must; proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop is a plus. Creatively agile and adept in innovative thinking, visioning, and problem solving. Competency in 3D design tools is a plus, but a desire to learn and apply is a must. Expert narrative development and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver project presentations to senior leadership and external partners. A deep understanding of typography, color theory, brand identity, and design principles. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Must have a passion for storytelling and the ability to translate narratives into compelling visual elements.
