Job Title: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate Job Description
The forklift operator / warehouse associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations by safely moving materials, accurately picking and packing orders, and maintaining a clean, organized facility. This role involves using pallet equipment and RF scanners to support inventory control, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to established procedures and documentation.
• Scan, label, and prepare products for shipment using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including lifting, stacking, and organizing inventory.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with warehouse inventory control by scanning, counting, and recording stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment, following all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations and resolve any workflow issues.

Essential Skills

• 12 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, packing, labeling, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of basic shipping and receiving processes and documentation.
• Ability to perform physical material handling and general labor tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, labeling, and inventory recording.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Reliability and punctuality to work scheduled hours consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse inventory control practices.
• Comfort working with scanning and labeling systems and basic warehouse technology.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse environment operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The setting is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Team members spend most of the day on their feet, performing material handling, operating forklifts and pallet equipment, and using RF scanners for inventory and order processing. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the safety-focused dress code, and employees are expected to follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmers Branch, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
