Position Overview

The Lead Travel Sprinkler Technician is responsible for leading the installation, inspection, testing, and servicing of fire sprinkler systems across multiple job sites. This is a travel-heavy role requiring a seasoned technician who can work independently, lead field crews, and ensure every job meets NFPA codes and local compliance standards. Expect to be on the road during the week with weekends back home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, layout, and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems
• Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance in accordance with NFPA 13 and NFPA 25
• Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler systems across a variety of settings and configurations
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior technicians in the field
• Serve as the primary point of contact on job sites for project managers and customers
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes and AHJ requirements
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and project documentation
• Coordinate travel schedules and communicate proactively with dispatch and project teams
• Represent yourself and Fuze HR Solutions professionally on every job site

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire sprinkler technician experience, with lead or senior-level field experience preferred
• NICET Level II certification preferred; pay advancement opportunities available for additional certifications and continuing education
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 25, and local AHJ requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and system schematics
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be comfortable with regional and national weekday travel

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in industrial environments
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
