Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Every third holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring diagnoses
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications per physician orders and unit protocolsMaintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5, collaborating with patient care techs and charge nurse to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Float as needed to medical floors, ICU, or rehabilitation units
• Apply strong critical thinking and communication skills in a high-acuity environment requiring effective problem-solving

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience titrating cardiac and neurological drips in a progressive care or step-down setting
• Familiarity with continuous EEG monitoring and neurological patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit with strong teamwork and communication skills
