Along with buying and selling energy commodities at the wholesale level, UGIES owns and operates key midstream natural gas assets.Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining accurate service records, while adhering to all safety protocols and company procedures.Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and conveyorsEnsure all work complies with company, project, and regulatory safety requirements, participate in safety audits and inspectionsMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)Hands on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors and other mechanical systemsAccess the tops of tanks to perform routine maintenanceCollaborate with operations, engineering, and outside contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and equipment upgradesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on anaerobic digesters, including agitators, mixers, heating systems, and associated piping and valvesMaintain and repair biogas upgrading skids, including membrane separation systems, compressors, and gas conditioning equipment, to ensure consistent RNG quality outputInspect, troubleshoot, and service flare systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with environmental and safety regulationsRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and unplanned outages to minimize facility downtimeFollow all facility safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hazardous gas monitoring proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with facility housekeeping standardsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, and mechanical systems typical of RNG or biogas facilitiesWorking knowledge of waste treatment processes including centrifuges and DAF systemStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a teamComputer skills such as Microsoft office, CMMS, and SAPBasic proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manualsEducation and Experience:Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or related field preferredLength of Experience: 2–5 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably in a biogas, wastewater, oil & gas, or process manufacturing environmentUGI Energy Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Additional compensation includes eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
