Cardiac unit - could include DORV, TOF, HLHS, Norwood Sano/BT Shunt, TGA, Heart TX, Medical: Hx TBI, RSV+, Rhino/Entero+, DKA, Trauma, Seizures, varying post-op cases to include ortho, neuro, Liver and Kidney TX, hemo/onc but no chemo Special Procedures/Unit Details : This unit maintains a high census and high acuity. Accepting straight nights or rotating that include every other weekend. Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 If acuity is high maybe 2:1 Special Equipment : ECMO, VADs, CRRT, #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO - Travelers are only guaranteed up to 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract. Please confirm RTO requests are accurate at time of submission. No additional RTO requests will be approved after acceptance. If traveler has any vacation plans during the period between Sign Date and Start Date, this must be communicated to the Client Delivery Manager at the time of submission to ensure a realistic start date may be requested Experience - Please refer to the job description for required experience. Valid State License - Will accept pending licenses, but must have license in-hand the Wednesday before start date. However, RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission Mile Radius Rule - select units have a 50 mile travel restriction, any units not listed do not have a mile radius rule. Copy of Certification - Please include copy of certification(s) that are required in the job description with submissions. Required Charting Exp. - Epic experience is required unless otherwise notated in the unit description or job description. Background Policy - If aware of background hit(s), please inform Client Delivery Manager. Return Staff Policy - Please inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at any facilities under University of Virginia Health system as permanent staff member or internal/external traveler. For perm staff and internal travelers to be eligible to return, clinician must be separated for one year and be approved by UVA leadership. *Note that UVA does not allow external travelers to work on assignment for more than 365 days, regardless of time off between contracts. Separation Policy: Facility does not allow travelers to return after they have worked on assignment for 365 days, despite any separation period. BSN preferred Nursys verification is required for submittal Modules: Modules are non-billable, up to 16 hours. Any time spent on modules in excess of 16 hours is billable Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty Modules are recorded in Workday
