Registration Coordinator

Job Title

This is a Per Diem/unbenefited position for a 24 hour department. Hours are varied - day, evening or night shifts depending on the need. Hours could be scheduled to fill vacation requests/leave of absence/an open shift or last minute to cover a sick call. Mandatory number of hours required if hours are available, which includes weekends and holidays. Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

• Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor
• Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.
• Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Minimum two years of computer experience
• Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range Details

The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value Sturdy Health's benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement. For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
