Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Cardiology unit requiring an IL RN license and at least one year of Cath Lab or Critical Care experience.

Details

• Full-time position in the Cardiac Cath Lab within the Cardiology department
• Adult and geriatric patient population undergoing cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift schedule, 0800-1630
• On-call rotation required every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 times per week

Requirements

• Active IL Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained
• BSN preferred
• At least one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver holistic, high-quality patient care throughout cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with physicians and provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and calibrated
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Continuously assess and document patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
