Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic cardiovascular setting. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive support to adult and geriatric populations during cardiovascular procedures in our Cardiac Cath Lab. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout cardiovascular procedures.
- Address the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, offering continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use.
- Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case-specific materials to ensure efficient workflow for the Cath Lab team.
- Monitor physiological and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes.
- Continuously assess and document patient conditions in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records.
- Support quality initiatives, participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current state Registered Nursing (RN) License is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications upon hire and must be maintained.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment is required.
- Must be available for a call rotation, which includes weekends every 2-3rd weekend and 1-3 shifts per week.
- Compliance with all health screening tests, including COVID-19 vaccination, annual TB testing, and immunization records.
