Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support a financial services organization in Boston, Massachusetts through a Long-term Contract engagement. This position focuses on portfolio and investment data within a private equity setting, helping teams improve reporting accuracy, streamline data processes, and turn complex business needs into reliable technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, hands-on experience with Chronograph, and the ability to work closely with investment, finance, operations, and technology partners.Responsibilities:• Manage the collection, organization, and maintenance of portfolio-company data to support reporting and analysis across private equity and alternative investment activities.• Translate business objectives into clear data definitions, rules, and technical requirements for reporting and workflow improvements.• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple data sources.• Partner with investment professionals, finance teams, portfolio operations, and technology stakeholders to deliver dependable data solutions aligned with business priorities.• Monitor data quality, investigate inconsistencies, and drive issue resolution through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.• Support reporting processes by preparing and validating financial, operational, and investment-related datasets and key performance indicators.• Use tools such as Snowflake and Microsoft Azure to assist with data processing, storage, and analysis in a controlled environment.• Contribute to data migration and workflow enhancement initiatives where portfolio and investment data must be integrated or restructured.
