D365 Senior Supply Chain & Manufacturing Functional Consultants

Job Summary Avanade Inc. seeks D365 Senior Supply Chain & Manufacturing Functional Consultants in Chicago, IL to be part of Avanade’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. Responsibilities Collect information, analyze requirements, solve business process problems, and provide technical and operational support to Avanade’s clients implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system (D365 F&O). Lead the D365 F&O Manufacturing workstream in client ERP implementations. Match business processes to application requirements, transform business requirements into an implementation model, and document D365 F&O configurations in an application model. Lead prototyping and configuration of applicable processes within D365 F&O to ensure the ERP system meets client needs. Lead workshops with clients, consultants, and client leaders to analyze and design solutions and handle gaps in D365 F&O detected during prototyping. Collaborate with the Avanade ERP technical team to design, develop, and test custom solutions approved by clients to address gaps within D365 F&O and third‑party applications/services. Lead creation or refinement of client business process hierarchies within business process models so that functional and non‑functional requirements are identified and linked. Document D365 F&O settings and prepare clients to use their ERP system. Support clients with testing, acceptance, and deployment of their ERP system into day‑to‑day operational use. Travel: Periodic travel to client sites (domestic and international) expected up to 80% of the time. Location requirement: Must live within reasonable commuting distance to Chicago, IL. Compensation and Benefits Salary range (Illinois): $140,000–$170,000 per year . Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, life, and long‑term disability coverage 401(k) plan Bonus opportunities Paid holidays Paid time off Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field. At least five (5) years of experience utilizing D365 F&O in a technology or IT consulting environment, including implementation of D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain modules. At least three (3) years of experience managing Application Lifecycle Management using Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Services. At least four (4) years of experience leading manufacturing and supply chain workstreams, including ownership of related business processes and presales solution design. At least four (4) years of experience designing and demonstrating functional components and scenario flows in D365 aligned to client requirements. At least three (3) years of experience conducting solution design workshops with clients and stakeholders, including gap analysis and prototyping. At least three (3) years of experience estimating functional workstreams and advising delivery teams during solution design phases.
