Temporary Medical Assistant Location: Norwalk, CT Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:45 PM Pay Rate: $23.00–$24.00 per hour Employer: J. Morrissey Position Overview J. Morrissey is seeking a reliable and experienced Temporary Medical Assistant to provide coverage for a leave of absence at a busy healthcare practice in Norwalk, CT. This role requires a well-rounded professional who is comfortable supporting both clinical and front desk operations while delivering exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Medical Assistant experience and be confident performing patient-facing clinical duties as well as administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Room patients and prepare them for provider visits Obtain and document vital signs Provide clinical support to the onsite provider Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Assist with patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations Front Desk & Administrative Duties Manage patient check-in and check-out processes Schedule appointments and coordinate patient calendars Answer and manage incoming phone calls Respond to patient inquiries and facilitate communication Verify and update patient information as needed Support general office operations and administrative tasks Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Assistant role Experience performing both clinical Medical Assistant duties and front desk responsibilities Comfortable obtaining vital signs and rooming patients Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent communication and phone etiquette Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy healthcare setting Team-oriented with a flexible and positive attitude Proficient with scheduling systems and electronic medical records preferred What We're Looking For Dependable and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail Ability to adapt to changing priorities Commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience Collaborative team player who can step in where needed If you are an experienced Medical Assistant looking for a temporary opportunity with a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities, we encourage you to apply.
