Make a meaningful impact by providing essential audiological services to students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade in a dynamic educational setting. This opportunity focuses on supporting the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) student population, offering you a chance to positively shape the educational experience of children who need specialized auditory care. This full-time contract role runs until late May 2027 and will allow you to collaborate with dedicated school staff and travel between multiple campuses. There is flexibility for less than full-time hours, so please indicate your availability when applying.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Kansas state licensure to practice audiology, with credentials from the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners or an appropriate state licensing body
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Audiology
- Experience working with the DHH population, preferably in a school setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and consultations
- Ability to adapt and travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to partnering with educational staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audiology evaluations and generate detailed reports
- Deliver ongoing feedback and consultations to teachers and support staff, ensuring optimal support for DHH students
- Evaluate the auditory needs of students, focusing on the Pre-K through 12th grade population (initial caseload includes 9 Pre-K students; full caseload details will be discussed during the interview)
- Travel between campuses, prioritizing timely and effective service delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
