Position Overview Mark Rite Lines is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in Billings, Montana. This position is a great opportunity for an early‑career accountant who wants to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while working alongside experienced professionals. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to multiple areas of accounting, contribute to the month‑end close process, and help maintain accurate financial records that support the company’s operations and growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and general ledger transactions Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts Maintain and track fixed assets Support the preparation of financial reports and internal reporting Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities as needed Maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledgers Support internal and external audits by providing documentation Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Participate in process improvements and other accounting projects Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships or entry‑level experience welcomed) Understanding of GAAP accounting principles Strong Excel skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Preferred CPA candidacy or progress toward certification Experience working with ERP or accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) Benefits Federal Signal Corporation offers a competitive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid holidays and paid vacation Employer‑sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA) 401(k) with company match Smoke‑free, drug‑free workplace Why Join Mark Rite Lines?
