Senior Audit Manager

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is recruiting for a Senior Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team. The role focuses on collaborating with middle‑to‑senior management to identify and resolve risk and control issues, supervising project‑specific teams, and providing leadership and direction across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Direct and review the activities of the audit project team. Recruit, train, supervise, and develop team members. Provide overall leadership and performance guidance. Participate in complex audits and deliver industry expertise. Evaluate risks, controls, policies, and procedures. Follow up on identified issues and recommend corrective actions. Propose and facilitate viable solutions to identified issues. Draft audit reports that clearly describe issues, implications, and recommendations. Maintain effective working relationships at all client management levels. Escalate significant audit issues and communicate resolution strategies. Present audit results and recommendations to senior management. Work with senior management on business changes and provide strategic risk counsel. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. 8‑10+ years leading audit engagements within the financial services industry. Project management experience. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management. Basic knowledge of custody, accounting, fund services, asset services, and related Investor Services products. Basic knowledge of risk, legal, compliance, HR, controllers, and treasury services related to Corporate Functions divisions. At least one professional audit certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFSA, or equivalent). Locations: Boston or New York City (hybrid role, minimum three days per week in office). Salary Range: $130k‑$180k base salary plus annual bonus target.
