Nurse Practitioner Cardiology

Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute is a nationally recognized organization that delivers comprehensive cardiovascular care for our region. We service all the major facilities in Ballad Health System and have multiple regional offices throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Our organization is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our established and fully developed Cardiology team at The Heart Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Provider will be an integral part of our growth strategy for the region and will see patients in clinic and provide care to hospitalized patients. Responsibilities include:

• Providing medical care as an independent licensed practitioner to outpatient medical practices
• Prescribing or recommending medications for patients, consulting with physicians as appropriate
• Ordering diagnostic tests and demonstrating appropriate application of the results to assess and treat patients' clinical conditions and healthcare needs.
• Collaborating with cardiologists to treat cardiac diagnoses and manage acute and chronic cardiac issues.
• Rounding on an inpatient service and providing consultative services in conjunction with the Cardiologist.
• Participate in a shared rotation of weekends and Holidays.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Have valid and active NP licensure in Tennessee.
• Have current AHA, ACLS and BLS
