Join us!Job Description:Analyst/Associate: Equity Research – Telecommunication, Comm Infrastructure and Comm SoftwareThe Telecommunications Services, Communications Infrastructure and Communications Software team currently covers 23-listed companies across subsectors and adjacencies including large cap telecommunications, AI and wireless infrastructure and emerging communications software companies. In addition to coverage of publicly traded companies, the team regularly vets a number of private companies for potential IPOs.The candidate for the position should be intellectually curious and have a deep desire to learn. The candidate should also have some experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis, as well as strong verbal communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate possesses experience in telecommunications/technology research. Further, the candidate should possess experience with company modeling and have a passion for following the stock market.The candidate will work alongside their Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst peers in all aspects, from idea generation to company meetings, including but not limited to the following:Perform complex financial modeling & valuation workWrite regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratchDevelop databases integral to our research productDemonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgmentWork with Senior Analyst to develop key industry themesBuild relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companiesParticipate and contribute to client meetings and eventsAttend meetings and interact with key opinion leadersClosely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to analyst when travelingSeek out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of informationLeverage our robust network of industry contactsInteract regularly with clientsResponsibilities:Conducts analysis of financial data, news, and other information to identify opportunities and risks related to companies, industries, or financial instrumentsAttends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records dataLeads and/or supports the preparation of associated financial models and written reports, which can be complex and quantitative in natureQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience (business, economics or accounting degree preferred)2+ years of experience in investment banking and/or research (equity or credit, sell-side or buy-side)Strong writing and spreadsheet skills.
