Our compassion, integrity, accountability, and resilience define us as leaders in pediatric specialty care for our children and their families.With 20+ hospitals, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care centers and outreach locations across the globe, we provide excellent care to children up to age 18 regardless of their family's ability to pay or insurance status.Job SummaryUnder the leadership of the Outpatient Department Manager and the indirect supervision of Physicians/APPs, the Medical Assistant assists with the delivery of patient care in the clinic by maintaining clinic flow, obtains routine clinical information on patients/family, provides physical care of the patients, procures and maintains par levels of clinic supplies, and provides light clerical assistance.Key Responsibilities:Transcribing of delegated orders into the EMRCasting/splint application, maintenance guidance and removalObtaining specimens, including performing venipunctureRequired Qualifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant programAbility to sit for certification exam from nationally recognized organization (i.e. American Association for Medical AssistantsPreferred Qualifications:One to two years' experience as a Medical AssistantAssociate's degreeTwo years' pediatric care experienceNational Board for Certification of Orthopedic TechnologyCertified Phlebotomy TechnicianThe pay range for this position is $19.97 - $29.95. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
