Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our healthcare team in Orange, California . The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional patient care skills, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards.

Duties

• Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT, PET, and other diagnostic studies.
• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic results.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while providing education and ensuring comfort throughout the exam.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately when necessary.
• Process, review, and evaluate images for technical quality and completeness prior to physician interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records, procedure documentation, and radiation exposure records.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and routine equipment testing.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification required.
• Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience Required.
• CLINICIAN WILL BE EXPECTED TO DO PET SCANS - PRIOR EXP PREFERRED, BUT WILLING TO TRAIN ON SITE
