Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an onsite work setting, specifically in home care environments. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Implement individualized therapy programs aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and improving strength and mobility using state-of-the-art therapeutic techniques.
• Engage in direct communication with patients and their caregivers to educate and support them in executing treatment plans in various scenarios, particularly in home environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Entry requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia is required.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proven excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective patient and team interactions.
• Proficiency in computer skills and word processing is necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience
