Walter S Pratt & Sons is looking for an organized, detail-driven Inventory Manager to oversee how our stock is received, stored, tracked, and replenished. You'll make sure the right products are in the right place at the right time, keep costs under control, and give leadership accurate data for purchasing and planning decisions. This role suits someone who enjoys solving operational problems and building reliable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all inventory activities, including receiving, storage, stock rotation, and order fulfillment, so that stock levels meet demand without excess.

• Maintain accurate records in our inventory management system (NetSuite) and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

• Plan and run regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories, investigating and resolving variances.

• Forecast demand using sales trends, seasonality, and lead times, and set reorder points and safety stock levels.

• Work with purchasing and suppliers to place orders, track shipments, and resolve issues with late, damaged, or incorrect deliveries.

• Reduce shrinkage, waste, and obsolete stock through clear controls, audits, and loss-prevention practices.

• Produce regular reports on stock levels, turnover, carrying costs, and accuracy for the leadership team.

• Keep storage areas safe, organized, and compliant with company policies and relevant regulations.

• Find and implement process improvements, such as better layout, barcoding, or automation.

Qualifications

• At least [3–5] years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain, including some time in a supervisory role.

• Hands-on experience with inventory management or ERP software, and strong Excel skills.

• A solid grasp of inventory methods such as FIFO/LIFO, ABC analysis, and just-in-time replenishment.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to spot trends and errors in data.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers, sales, finance, and warehouse teams.

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as APICS CPIM or CSCP.
