Infrastructure Manager

Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Manager to lead and evolve our global infrastructure environment supporting manufacturing operations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

We are looking for an experienced infrastructure leader who can manage a complex global technology landscape while driving standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience leading distributed infrastructure teams, supporting manufacturing environments, managing Microsoft and cloud technologies, and establishing global infrastructure standards that improve reliability, security, and scalability.

The Infrastructure Manager will oversee the availability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of our clients infrastructure platforms, including cloud services, servers, storage, endpoints, collaboration platforms, and supporting technologies. This leader will work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Applications, and regional IT teams to ensure stable operations and minimize business and manufacturing disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations & Strategy

• Lead the global management and support of infrastructure platforms, including servers, storage, cloud services, endpoints, collaboration platforms, and related technologies.

• Ensure the secure, stable, and reliable operation of infrastructure services supporting global business and manufacturing operations.

• Develop and maintain global infrastructure standards, processes, and operating procedures.

• Drive infrastructure modernization, simplification, and standardization initiatives across a diverse technology environment.

• Establish infrastructure performance metrics and ensure service delivery meets business expectations.

• Maintain disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and infrastructure resiliency capabilities.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a geographically distributed infrastructure and support organization.

• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer service, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Mentor and develop technical talent while promoting collaboration across global IT teams.

• Manage staffing, resource allocation, performance management, and succession planning activities.

Manufacturing & Business Partnership

• Support critical manufacturing operations by ensuring high availability of IT systems across global plant locations.

• Coordinate with Network, Security, SAP, and Application teams to quickly resolve incidents and minimize downtime.

• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and operational issues.

• Partner with business and executive stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with strategic objectives.

Vendor & Lifecycle Management

• Manage relationships with global infrastructure vendors, service providers, and technology partners.

• Negotiate contracts, renewals, licensing agreements, and service-level commitments.

• Develop technology roadmaps and manage infrastructure lifecycle planning and asset management.

• Drive cost optimization while maintaining operational effectiveness.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure infrastructure platforms operate within established security policies and privileged access controls.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

• Support compliance initiatives related to SOX, GDPR, and other applicable regulations.

• Promote security best practices throughout infrastructure operations and service delivery.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure leadership responsibilities.

• Experience leading global infrastructure operations across multiple regions.

• Experience supporting manufacturing organizations and plant environments.

• Demonstrated success leading distributed technical teams and support resources.

• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure in a Microsoft-centric environment.

• Experience driving infrastructure standardization, operational maturity, and technology transformation initiatives.

• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and infrastructure budgets.

• Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting global operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on infrastructure leader who has managed global Microsoft and cloud environments within a manufacturing organization, led geographically dispersed teams, worked closely with SAP, Security, and Network teams, and successfully driven infrastructure modernization while maintaining operational stability across global facilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Chandler, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $145000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
