Jack in the Box - RESTAURANT MANAGER

Position Summary Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Position Title RESTAURANT MANAGER Job Code RORM20 Reports To District Manager Exemption Status Exempt Department Restaurant Field Operations Key Duties/Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, implements training systems, identifies internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions, and motivates employees to achieve high performance. External Service: Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance, ensuring exceptional guest experience, food quality, and brand image. Sales & Profits: Utilizes management information tools to analyze performance, implement improvement action plans, and focus on increasing sales and profitability while managing costs and budget adherence. Selection Skills/Qualities Fostering the Culture: Demonstrates passion, integrity, and ethical behavior while promoting Jack in the Box culture. Training/Coaching/Development: Motivates, trains, and develops employees, providing guidance and performance feedback. Guest Focus: Ensures consistent quality service that exceeds guest expectations. Other Duties: Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1+ years as an Associate Manager or 2 years as a First Assistant Manager, or 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 18+ years old, certified in all workstations, ServSafe certified, excellent interpersonal and basic math skills, self‑starter, proficient in PC software, valid driver’s license, and own vehicle for deposits and travel.
