Police Officer - Trainee through Police Corporal - Certified/Lateral

Police officers are responsible for patrolling of town streets and neighborhoods to deter crime or apprehend and/or arrest violators or suspects, responding to calls for law enforcement assistance, gathering information for criminal investigations, and meeting with and working with community members. Fluency in a foreign language is desired (Spanish preferred). A valid North Carolina Driver's License is required. The hiring process varies depending on candidates' backgrounds.
