Dade Electric Service is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing electrical contracting business. This role will oversee core accounting functions, including financial reporting, job costing, and construction-related financial management. The Senior Accountant will work closely with company leadership, project managers, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support sound business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Monitor job costing and project profitability
- Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
- Support progress billing and retainage tracking
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation
- Support financial reporting and internal control improvements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with construction or contractor accounting preferred
- Knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting
- Strong Excel and accounting software proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
