Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced OR RN to provide specialized surgical nursing care on an as-needed, on-call basis. The role involves managing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to industry standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients.
• Supervise ancillary nursing staff and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Scrub in or circulate during surgical procedures, maintaining AORN standards.
• Handle emergency and crisis situations with clinical composure.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting, with Epic experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license.
• Possess 3+ years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in travel or surgical settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general, ortho, vascular, trauma, and neuro surgeries.
• Be BLS and ACLS certified, with all certifications current and in hand.
• Able to work with bodily fluids and handle high-risk situations.
