Part Time Patient Services Specialist- Gastonia OUC

We are currently searching for a Part Time Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Gastonia Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This position will be scheduled for 2-3 shifts per week. Shifts may be Monday‑Friday, 5:30pm‑9:00pm and/or Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. To learn more about Team OC please visit Essential Functions Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls Makes appointments Performs cashier duties as directed including posting of charges Collects co‑payments, co‑insurance and balances due Follows the process for release of medical information and completes FMLA/disability forms as requested Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service skills Working knowledge of insurance Epic/EMR background a plus Medical terminology Qualifications High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor’s degree Prefer minimum of one year experience in a medical clinic setting Employment Type Part Time – Benefits Ineligible #J-18808-Ljbffr OrthoCarolina
