Backend Developer - Healthcare

Salary: $145,600 - 168,480 per year Requirements:

• We require six years of development experience.
• We prefer direct experience in healthcare or finance, especially supporting self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.
• We need working knowledge of MediSpan drug data.
• We are looking for proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• We need experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• We value familiarity with modern front-end build tools and pipelines such as Webpack, Babel, and npm.
• We expect strong command of version control, particularly Git, and experience managing pull requests.
• We need excellent problem-solving ability, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• We look for experience with Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, SQL Server stored procedures and functions, and Microsoft Teams.
• We value familiarity with diagramming tools such as Lucidchart and the ability to work with external APIs for internal business processes.
• We prefer understanding of Agile methodologies.
• We consider knowledge of prescription claim EDI and the pharmacy reimbursement cycle a plus.
• We prefer experience with MongoDB and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management, including adjudication, formularies, and pricing, is a significant advantage.
• A bachelors degree is expected.

• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• We conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback through pull requests.
• We build backend functionality and business logic that support business operations while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• We work independently and as part of a team on both special projects and ongoing initiatives.
• We optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• We troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues as they arise.
• We mentor junior developers and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• We comply with HIPAA obligations related to protected health information.
• We report any discovered HIPAA violations to Compliance or Human Resources.
• We complete required HIPAA training and demonstrate competency in the training provided by our company.
