Backend Developer - HIT

Salary: $145,600 - 168,480 per year Requirements:

• We need a professional with at least six years of development experience.
• We are looking for hands-on experience in healthcare or finance, particularly with self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.
• We require working knowledge of MediSpan drug data.
• We need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• We value experience integrating front-end applications with back-end services through RESTful APIs.
• We expect familiarity with modern build tooling such as Webpack, Babel, and npm.
• We require a solid command of Git and pull request workflows.
• We need experience with Visual Studio, C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and administration.
• We value experience using Microsoft Teams and diagramming tools such as Lucidchart.
• We need the ability to work with external APIs to support internal business processes.
• We require strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
• We expect the ability to work independently, make sound business decisions with general guidance, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• We prefer familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• We prefer knowledge of prescription claim EDI and the pharmacy reimbursement cycle.
• We prefer experience with MongoDB and Snowflake.
• We consider pharmacy management experience, especially around adjudication, formularies, and pricing, a strong plus.
• A bachelors degree is required.

• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• We review code and provide constructive feedback through pull requests.
• We build backend functionality and business logic that support business processes while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• We work independently and as part of a team on both special projects and ongoing initiatives.
• We optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• We troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• We mentor junior developers and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• We comply with HIPAA obligations related to protected health information.
• We report any HIPAA violations to Compliance or Human Resources.
• We complete all required HIPAA training and demonstrate competency.
• We remain flexible as responsibilities may evolve over time.
