C2C Local Richmond, VA candidates only due to onsite requirement This position requires onsite several days a week, NO exceptions Contractor will be responsible for purchasing parking through VDOT’s Parking Management Office or procuring their own parking VDOT is seeking a senior .Net Applications Developer who will be responsible for analyzing complex software requirements to design and develop high quality components for N-tier systems. The Senior Developer is expected to take a lead role within the team, ensuring that programming best practices are being followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues in a timely manner, and writing system documentation when required. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and business requirement discussions. Primary Responsibilities Develop applications and backend services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, Node.js and CSS. Design and develop using SQL Server to create stored procedures/functions and tune as needed. Design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability. Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery. Apply in-depth knowledge of system design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices. Understand key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Plan and manage projects; solve complex problems by applying best practices. Provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Work with project business and system analysts to clarify requirements and implement them. Participate in code reviews. Enforce standards and best practices. Participate in Agile SDLC. Qualifications 10+ Years Experience with ADO.NET and Entity Frameworks 10+ Years Experience with SQL Server Proc/Functions development and tuning 10+ Years Experience with automated builds using Microsoft Team Foundation Server 3+ Years Experience with process automation and troubleshooting 6+ Years Experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS and SSIS 3+ Years Experience with Design Patterns and using MVC framework, Dependency Injection Framework 3+ Years Experience with Agile SDLC best practices 3+ Years Experience developing with Azure 3+ Years Experience working on .NET/GIS projects 2+ Years Experience or working knowledge on Dynamics 365 Experience working with Python scripting Location Richmond, VA (Local candidates only; onsite several days a week) #J-18808-Ljbffr
