Reconstruction Project Manager
PHC Restoration
Project Manager
Leading The Way To An Excellent Restoration Experience
Are you the kind of leader who thrives in complexity, communicates with confidence, and knows how to keep projects moving forward? Do you shine when the stakes are high, the timeline is tight, and the project requires both strong leadership and sharp decision-making?
As a Project Manager, you'll own the successful execution of reconstruction projects from scope to final completion. You'll lead skilled tradespeople, serve as the client point of contact, shape project scope, manage budget and schedule, and ensure on-site quality from start to finish. Your ability to lead people, solve problems, and keep projects moving with urgency will directly shape the customer experience and the overall success of the work.
This is not an entry-level project management role. We are searching for a high-capacity leader who can manage large-loss reconstruction, complex residential jobs, and commercial projects while keeping multiple moving parts aligned. For the right person, this role offers meaningful room for growth, greater responsibility, and long-term opportunity within a growing and stable company.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary leader for reconstruction projects, owning the outcome from approved scope through final completion.
- Lead and direct PHC service specialists and skilled tradespeople on your projects, setting the tone for urgency, accountability, professionalism, and quality.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, guiding them through the reconstruction process with confidence, professionalism, and clear communication.
- Determine project scope and work closely with estimators, clients, and insurance adjusters to align scope, price, and expectations.
- Build and manage project budgets, schedules, and critical path timelines to keep work moving and projects on track.
- Ensure on-site quality by inspecting work in progress, addressing issues quickly, and holding a high standard for the finished product.
- Manage large-loss, complex, and commercial reconstruction projects with strong prioritization and follow-through.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, internal team members, and material flow so projects stay on schedule and run efficiently.
- Work closely with customers on change orders, upgrades, and vision-related decisions, helping them make confident choices while keeping the project aligned.
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and insurance adjusters so PHC is represented with excellence.
- Use software for documentation, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and communication to maintain strong control of your jobs.
- Collaborate with a strong Project Coordinator for administrative support while staying fully accountable for project leadership, pace, and results.
- Lead an on-call team rotation as part of serving customers with urgency and reliability.
What's In It for You?
Performance-driven compensation — this role includes quarterly performance bonuses, and strong execution creates stronger earning potential.
Meaningful work — help customers rebuild after property damage and lead projects that restore confidence as well as property.
Leadership growth — this role offers room to expand your responsibility and influence.
High-impact responsibility — take ownership of complex work, major projects, and outcomes that require strong leadership and decisive action.
Strong support structure — work with a team that is committed to helping projects move efficiently.
Purpose-driven culture — PHC exists to positively impact its team, customers, and community through an excellent restoration experience.
Reputation and pride — represent a second-generation, woman-owned company serving the market since 1971.
Are You the Right Fit?
You are a leader first — you can take command of a project, create clarity, and move people toward results.
You understand construction well enough to make sound decisions about scope, sequencing, quality, and cost.
You have a strong sense of urgency — you do not let projects drift, and you know how to make things happen quickly and responsibly.
You can manage multiple high-value projects at once without losing control of schedule, details, or execution.
You are confident with customers and calm under pressure — you can handle difficult conversations, set expectations, and keep trust intact.
You know how to manage subcontractors and vendors in a way that earns respect, accountability, and repeat partnership.
You are comfortable being measured — you can perform under pressure, stay focused on quarterly goals, and take ownership of results.
You understand that performance matters — you are motivated by clear expectations and comfortable working within GP-based performance requirements.
You balance servant leadership with accountability — you support your team while still holding a high standard.
You are coachable, growth-oriented, and motivated by the opportunity to keep expanding your leadership over time.
You align with PHC's values by bringing humility, compassion, enthusiasm, and gratitude to your work.
Preferred Experience
- Strong construction project management experience is essential.
- Experience managing reconstruction, insurance-related repairs, large-loss work, or commercial projects is preferred.
- A firm understanding of construction costs, budgeting, scope management, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination is required for success in this role.
- Previous damage restoration project management experience is helpful, but broader building construction and project leadership experience may translate well.
