Position Overview
A logistics operation in San Leandro is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily transportation and cargo coordination. This role ensures efficient driver scheduling, clear communication, and accurate documentation throughout the dispatch process. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch drivers based on daily schedules, customer requirements, and route efficiency.
Monitor driver progress and provide real-time support to resolve delays, route changes, or operational issues.
Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, carriers, and customer service to maintain smooth cargo flow.
Verify shipment details, delivery instructions, and provide timely updates to internal teams and customers.
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, route documentation, and shipment records.
Assist with load planning, dock coordination, and workflow prioritization.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
Support problem-solving efforts related to delivery issues or customer concerns.
Minimum Requirements
1–2 years of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
Proficiency with computers, dispatch systems, GPS tools, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret shipment instructions, routing details, and delivery documentation.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
