Regional Vice President of Operations

Optify Search is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading private equity-backed ophthalmology platform seeking a Regional Vice President . Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive leader will be responsible for driving operational performance, financial results, and strategic growth across a multi-site region. The Regional Vice President will serve as the primary P&L owner, partnering closely with physician leadership and corporate stakeholders to optimize clinic and ambulatory surgery center performance while supporting both organic and acquisition-driven growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Own full regional P&L accountability, ensuring achievement of financial, operational, and growth objectives. Lead performance across clinics, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and ancillary service lines within the region. Partner with executive and physician leadership to develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and operational priorities. Drive operational excellence through KPI management, productivity improvement, and quality-focused initiatives. Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing regional leadership teams to support continued growth. Collaborate with provider recruitment and HR teams to identify staffing needs and support talent acquisition efforts. Champion continuous improvement programs that enhance efficiency, patient experience, and overall performance. Support M&A activities, including operational due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition execution. Partner with corporate support functions to align resources and achieve regional business goals. Foster a collaborative culture across providers, staff, and leadership teams while maintaining a focus on patient outcomes and employee engagement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; MBA, MHA, or other advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience in a multi-site physician practice environment, including 3+ years within ophthalmology. Demonstrated success managing full P&L responsibility, ideally within a private equity-backed healthcare organization. Strong financial and operational acumen, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, productivity management, and performance improvement. Experience leading ASC operations, building scalable leadership teams, and supporting M&A integration activities strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
