Production QC

Job Description

TWP is seeking a Production Quality Control professional to ensure that products meet the company’s quality, timeline, and budget standards. Reporting to the Director of Production, this self-starter will oversee quality control from pre-production through delivery, strengthen inspection processes, and collaborate with factories, warehouses, and internal teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Launch and deliver TOP sample and share approvals with factories after fitting.
\n
• Inspect inline clothing and finished items for defects, such as incorrect sewing, irregular stitches, and color inconsistencies.
\n
• Compare measured garments with original specifications to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
\n
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve production processes and product quality.
\n
• Check fabrics and other clothing materials for quality, colorfastness, and texture.
\n
• Help/Work with production manager and warehouse manager, to arrange bulk inspections at warehouse for overseas production.
\n
• Liaise with specialty category consultants (denim, sweaters, accessories) on the production of their seasonal capsules to ensure fit and quality standards.
\n
• Follow production from PP, TOP, to eventual delivery at our NJ warehouse for full understanding of product aesthetics and quality.
\n
• Help/Work with production and raw materials teams to prioritize around fabric and trim arrival to factories.
\n
• Maintain quality control documentation, noting details of inspections and any issues found.
\n
• Coordinate with production teams to rectify faults and ensure all standards are met before dispatch.
\n
• Compare the q’ty against the POs and WIP.
\n
• Recap ready to be shipped q’ty with the shipping partners.
\n
• Share key seasonal specs and fit/finish details/quality call outs with DTC and wholesale channels partnering with TD
\n
• Regularly visit Howard st stores to spot check the quality.
\n
• Participate in weekly WIP meetings; advise of issues or concerns that can delivery / process.
\n
• Update WIP chart
\n
• Attend internal team fitting sessions to check different sizes
\n

Qualifications

\n
• College degree, preferably in fashion-related field.
\n
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in production and QC roles
\n
• A desire to succeed and drive your team to succeed.
\n
• Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
\n
• Knowledge of garment construction with a basic understanding of patterns and technical design.
\n
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
\n
• Entrepreneurial mindset in a fast-growing company.
\n
• Managerial skills to continue to build a high performing team.
\n
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office. ERP system experience preferred.
\n

• Salary range: $75,000–$90,000 annually
